News India Live, Digital Desk: The internal discord of Lalu family has once again come to the fore in the politics of Bihar. This time, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son and Hasanpur MLA Tej Pratap Yadav has made a direct attack on his own younger brother and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav. His statement given from the stage during an election rally has created a stir within the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and has raised serious questions on the unity of the party.
Tej Pratap lashed out at his younger brother from the stage.
While campaigning in favor of RJD candidate in Maharajganj Lok Sabha constituency, Tej Pratap Yadav lost his temper and made controversial remarks about Tejashwi Yadav. He roared from the stage, “Tejashwi is still a child! He still has a lot to learn. We will give him a rattle in our hands.”
Not only this, he called Tejashwi arrogant and said, “He has become very arrogant. He has forgotten who brought him into politics. It is Tej Pratap Yadav who taught him politics by holding his finger.”
Why is Tej Pratap angry?
According to sources, the main reason for Tej Pratap Yadav’s displeasure is his neglect in the party and his opinion not being taken in ticket distribution. He has been hurt by being sidelined in the party for a long time. He believes that Tejashwi Yadav and leaders close to him are deliberately keeping him away from important decisions of the party. This statement is believed to be the result of that suppressed anger.
RJD kept distance, opposition targeted
After this statement of Tej Pratap, there is a stir in RJD. Big leaders of the party are avoiding saying anything on this. However, a party spokesperson has tried to shrug it off by calling it a “family matter”.
On the other hand, JDU and BJP have immediately seized this issue. JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said, “This is nothing new. There has always been a power struggle in the Lalu family. When he cannot keep his family together, how will he keep Bihar united?”
Between Lalu Yadav’s health and the election environment, this fight between his two sons has become a big challenge for RJD. It will be interesting to see how the party deals with this internal crisis.
