“Lalu Yadav pushed Bihar back” – Manjhi’s charge
Manjhi attacked Lalu Prasad Yadav and his reign, saying that the situation in Bihar was worse before 2004. He claimed that 70-80% of the land given to the poor under Lalu Yadav’s rule was captured by his party workers.
He alleged that Lalu Yadav’s supporters were involved in crimes.
“Their workers are involved in incidents like rape, murder and Chhintai. The people of Bihar know all this and can never forget it.”
Manjhi said that Lalu Yadav is only dreaming in the day that he will make his son the Chief Minister, but the public will not support him this time.
“Will not let Bihar go in the old era” – double engine government praises
Manjhi fiercely appreciated the government of Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the double engine government in Bihar is working strongly and the state is moving forward on the path of rapid progress.
“Bihar and country are progressing. No one wants to take Bihar again in the old era.”
Manjhi’s response to Bihar Budget 2025
Praising the budget 2025 presented by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister cum Finance Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Manjhi called it historic and development -oriented.
He said that this budget is a strong step towards making Bihar a developed state. He welcomed the decision to increase the hostel grant amount from ₹ 1,000 to ₹ 2,000 per month, especially under the Scheduled Castes and Tribes Hostel Grants Scheme.
Manjhi also appreciated the decision to open a residential school in SC/ST -dominated areas and said that this will provide better education to these communities.
Praise of government vision on Chhath Puja and tourism
Manjhi also praised the plan to connect Chhath Puja by the Bihar government to tourism. He said that this will promote the tourism of the state and the culture of Bihar will be recognized nationally and internationally.
