The investigation of Delhi car blast and Faridabad terror module has now reached a new and bigger turning point. Now the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also entered this matter. Today at 5 am, ED teams conducted simultaneous raids at 25 places in Delhi-NCR. This action of ED has been taken against Al-Falah University of Haryana and the people associated with it, because it is suspected that this university has a deep connection with funding for terrorist activities.
Why is the university under suspicion?
For the investigating agencies, this university has emerged as a major center of this entire terrorist module. The reasons for this are also clear:
- On November 10, 13 people lost their lives in a car blast near the Red Fort in Delhi. The main accused of this blast, Dr. Omar Un Nabi, was a student of this Al-Falah University.
- Many other arrested suspects have also been found to have direct links with this university.
- Serious questions are also being raised on the validity of the university. On November 13, it was issued a show cause notice because it is neither recognized by the government nor has it ever applied for it. After the controversies, the university has also closed its website.
What is ED investigating?
The biggest objective of the ED investigation is to break the funding trap of which the university is suspected. The agency is investigating whether the bank accounts of the university or people associated with it were used to send money for planning or carrying out terrorist attacks. In this big operation, many other security agencies of the country are also working together with ED, so that the back of this entire terrorist network can be broken.
Crackdown on university administration also tightened
Considering the seriousness of the matter, Delhi Police has also issued summons to the Chancellor of the University in two separate cases of fraud and forgery. The investigators believe that there are many irregularities in the functioning of the university, on which it is necessary to interrogate the Chancellor.
However, amid all these allegations, the university had issued a statement condemning the Delhi blasts and described itself as a responsible institution.
