The Indian team is soon going to leave for Australia to play the Border Gavaskar Trophy. In view of the World Test Championship final, the Australia tour is becoming very important for Rohit Sharma and Company.
Now India will have to win 4 matches in Australia because Team India had to face a crushing defeat of 3-0 against New Zealand. This is going to be very difficult for Team India. At the same time, after the poor performance in the New Zealand series, the Test career of three players is now in danger. But these three veteran players have been performing brilliantly for Team India for a long time.
Rohit Sharma
ODI and Test Team India captain Rohit Sharma is going through a bad phase at the moment. Rohit's bat remained completely calm in the New Zealand series. After losing the series, Rohit himself admitted his poor performance. Due to poor form, Rohit also had to face the anger of the fans. In the three-match Test series against New Zealand, only 91 runs were scored from Rohit's bat. Rohit will be seen captaining Team India in the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. But Rohit Sharma's current form is nothing special. If Rohit flops in Australia also, then he can take a big decision regarding his Test career.
Virat Kohli
Team India's star batsman Virat Kohli is also called run machine. But seeing the way Virat has performed against New Zealand, the fans have started calling Virat a burden on the team. During the entire series, Kohli was seen kneeling before the spin bowlers of New Zealand. Some fans even asked Kohli to retire from Test cricket.
R Ashwin
Team India's veteran spin bowler R Ashwin was also seen playing against New Zealand. Ashwin's performance in this series was excellent. But Ashwin proved to be a bit indifferent against the spin bowlers of New Zealand. Ashwin could not perform anything special with the bat in this series. Ashwin may also retire from Test cricket after the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
