Bengaluru: The breath of 177 passengers sitting in the air flying in the air was stuck when the technical fault in their Indigo aircraft was detected. The case is of a flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Bengaluru, which was launched in a safe emergency at the Kemp Gowda International Airport in Bengaluru after the pilot’s understanding.
Why did you have to do emergency landing?
According to the information, IndiGo flight number 6E-6401 took off from Thiruvananthapuram to Bengaluru. Everything was fine, but just before reaching the floor, the ‘alarm of smoke’ started ringing with the cargo hold of the aircraft (where the passengers are kept). In the air, ringing the alarm at a height of thousands of feet can be a sign of a large danger.
Pilot’s wisdom saved
Sensing the danger, the pilot did not delay even for a single moment. He immediately contacted the Air Traffic Control (ATC) and asked for permission for emergency landing by calling ‘Mayday’. As soon as the information was received, ‘Full Emergency’ was immediately declared at Bangalore Airport. Fire brigade vehicles, ambulances and security personnel were posted on the runway.
Amidst everyone’s stuck breaths, the pilot with great efficiency took the aircraft safely on the runway at 7.42 am. All 177 passengers were safely taken out as soon as the aircraft stopped, after which everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
The airline has confirmed the technical fault in one of its statements and regretted the inconvenience caused to passengers. At present, DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) is conducting a detailed investigation into the entire incident.
