News India Live, Digital Desk: With the declaration of Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) 12th class results, an important turning point in the career of lakhs of promising students of the state has come. Amidst the happiness of the result, the biggest question that has arisen is what next? Is it wiser to take direct admission in a local college near home, or should one prepare for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) to get into the top universities of the country? In today’s era of tough competition, the choice of college is not limited to just getting a degree, but it sets the foundation for your entire future. If you also have a dream of studying in the most prestigious institutions of the country like Delhi University (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU) or JNU, then CUET can prove to be the biggest key to success for you.
Direct Admission vs CUET: Know what is best for your future Often students and their parents are in a dilemma whether to choose a college on the basis of 12th marks or accept the challenge of the entrance exam. It is very important to understand this difference deeply. Direct admission is completely based on the 12th percentage and the ‘cut-off’ released by the colleges. Many times it happens that even meritorious students who score more than 90 percent marks are left out of the list of top colleges.
In sharp contrast, CUET is a platform where 12th marks only determine the eligibility to fill the form, while the real game and selection depends on your entrance test score. This is no less than a boon for those lakhs of students who, due to some reasons, may score slightly less marks in the board exams, but are not behind anyone in terms of talent. Through CUET, you climb the ladder of top government universities of the country, where excellent faculty, world-class research facilities and excellent study environment are far ahead of any ordinary private or local college. The biggest relief is that the fees in these government universities are nominal and many scholarships are also available, due to which the promising children of middle class and poor families do not have to bear the heavy financial burden of education.
CUET’s glory: Doors of more than 300 universities open for students of every stream The biggest strength of CUET is its ‘universal access’ i.e. its reach to every student. Whether you come from a small village in Rajasthan or a big city in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar or Karnataka, you can sit in this national level examination with pride. Whether you are a student of Arts, Science or Commerce, there are opportunities for everyone here. Through this one test, students are not limited to just the traditional BA or BSc, but can also easily get admission in high-demand professional courses like BTech, B-Pharma, BBA and LLB.
At present, more than 300 top government, semi-government and renowned private universities across the country are taking admission through this CUET. These include big names like Delhi University (DU), which has made its mark at the international level, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), the most favorite among the students of North India, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), which is considered number-1 in the country in research and social sciences, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), the first choice of engineering students, besides Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
If you dream of UPSC and government job, then do not make this mistake If you are dreaming of UPSC (Civil Services), Police (UP-SI), SSC CPO or any other big and prestigious government job in future, then the choice of your graduation college plays a big role in it. The educational environment of these big and renowned universities of the country not only gives you bookish knowledge but also prepares you mentally and intellectually for big competitive examinations. Avoid the mistake of taking admission in any local college in a hurry after passing 12th. Seriously considering a great option like CUET can prove to be a real game-changer for your career and life. It not only gives you the best education in the country at low cost, it also provides you a golden opportunity to improve yourself by sitting among the brightest minds of the entire country.
