Post

A huge relief has been reported for millions of students and their parents of Madhya Pradesh. Now, to make a new Aadhaar card of children or improve it, parents will not have to get long queues of government offices and spoil their daily wage. Taking a big and highly commendable decision, the Madhya Pradesh government has now announced to make Aadhaar cards of students directly in schools.

This special campaign will be started from next month i.e. September 2025, whose direct purpose is to ensure that not a single student of the state is deprived of Aadhaar card. This step is not only a major feature for parents, but it will prove to be a milestone towards digital governance and the benefits provided to the students in the state.

After all, why need to make Aadhaar card in schools lying?

Till now, parents had to go round the Aadhaar centers or post office to get their children’s Aadhaar cards made. Many types of problems were faced in this process:

  • Long queues and waste of time: Aadhaar centers had to wait for hours due to the huge crowd, causing parents to take leave from work often.
  • Documents problem: Sometimes they were repeatedly returned due to lack of correct documents.
  • Loss of children’s education: The children also had to leave school with their parents and go to these centers, causing loss of their studies.

In view of all these practical problems, the government has decided to start a campaign like ‘School Chalo Aadhaar’ to make this entire process simple and easy.

How will this campaign work? (Complete process)

The state government’s school education department has prepared a detailed plan to make this campaign a success.

  1. School level preparations: First of all, schools have been asked to prepare a list of all students who do not yet have an Aadhaar card or whose Aadhaar has any kind of error.
  2. Camp organized: Subsequently, a special ‘Aadhaar Camp’ will be organized in every school according to a fixed time table.
  3. Authorized teams will come to school: Authorized by UIDAI (UIDAI) teams will reach school directly with their biometric machines and other equipment.
  4. Ease of document verification: Since all the necessary documents of the student (eg birth certificate, school ID card) are already present in the school records, the process of verification will be very fast and easy. The school’s headmaster or teacher will play the role of ‘Introducers’.
  5. Free enrollment: The enrollment of the new Aadhaar card will be completely free.

Why is ‘Supercard’ for students? (Its big benefits)

In today’s digital age, the Aadhaar card for a student is not just an identity card, but the key to their future opportunities.

  • Scholarship and Government Schemes: Aadhaar card is mandatory to take advantage of almost all scholarships and government schemes given by the state and central government. Money directly reaches the student from the profit transfer (DBT) in Aadhaar-Linked Bank account.
  • Entrance exams: While applying for many major national competitive examinations like Engineering (JEE) and Medical (NEET), Aadhaar card would be an important document.
  • Digital Locker: Students can protect their marksheets and other educational documents in DigiLocker, which is accessed through Aadhaar itself.
  • Future needs: From opening a bank account to avail any government facility in future, Aadhaar card is necessary at every step.

This step of the Madhya Pradesh government will ensure that no qualified student is deprived of opportunities due to lack of just one document. This is a solid and effective initiative towards realizing the vision of ‘Digital India’ at the ground level.
