Jagdalpur, 17 August (HS). Chhattisgarh Sarva Adivasi Samaj has called for Bastar Bandh today on Saturday. The widespread impact of the bandh is being seen in Bastar district. Business establishments of divisional headquarters Jagdalpur are closed. However, emergency services like medical are running, passenger buses are running.

Members of Chhattisgarh Sarva Adivasi Samaj say that illegal infiltrators are entering Bastar. Neither the administration nor the police are being informed about this. People are renting houses to them without any information. They are not even identified, which is wrong. Members of Sarva Adivasi Samaj say that due to the situation in Bangladesh, some infiltrators from there have started living in different areas of Bastar. Bastar is a fifth schedule area. Infiltrators have started arriving in cities, towns and villages in different districts across the division. Members of the society have demanded from the administration that such infiltrators should be identified and sent back from here as soon as possible. A bandh has been called for this demand.

It is noteworthy that, there was news of entry of some outsiders near Aadawal of Jagdalpur. Those people were living in a rented house here. The members of the society got information about this, after which a situation of dispute was seen. During that time, the police reached the spot and pacified the dispute, the video of this also went viral. After this, Sarva Hindu Samaj and Chhattisgarh Sarva Adivasi Samaj along with other social organizations expressed concern over the huge increase in the number of Rohingya and suspicious Muslims of other areas in Bastar division, and after meaningful discussion and instructions with the Minister in charge of Bastar and the Home Minister of the state Vijay Sharma regarding the discussions that have become the center of insecurity and conversion among the general public due to the events in Bangladesh, information is being collected and updated by the Bastar Police with a view to keeping an eye on the tenants living in urban and rural areas. Along with providing the information of the tenants to the police station, the house owners are also being asked to give information about the suspicious outsiders around them to the police.
