Gonda/Ayodhya: There is a big good news for lakhs of people of Devipatan mandal. The final design to make the national highway connecting Ayodhya to Gonda and Balrampur six-lane is now ready. With the construction of this modern highway, about 65 kilometers long, not only will the journey from Ayodhya to Nepal border become very easy and fast, but the traffic problem will also be completely eliminated. After the completion of this project, the development of these districts will get new wings.

Ramlala’s life consecration changed the fate of the highway

This is the same road on which the ministry had rejected the proposal to make it four lane in the year 2023 citing low traffic. But, after the grand consecration of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya in January 2024, the picture here completely changed. In view of the increasing investment of big industrialists of the country in Ayodhya and Gonda and the crowd of lakhs of devotees every day, the government first planned to make this route six-lane from Ayodhya to Gonda, which has now been extended till Balrampur.

Now the journey of hours can be done in minutes, the distance will be reduced by so much

With the construction of this new six-lane highway, the distance between Ayodhya, Gonda and Balrampur will reduce significantly. According to the new design:

  • Ayodhya to Gonda The distance will remain only 35 kilometers.
  • Gonda to Balrampur The journey will be only 22 kilometers.

Its biggest benefit will be to lakhs of devotees and travelers coming from Shravasti, Balrampur and Nepal border, for whom reaching Ayodhya will now become easier than before.

New six-lane highway will pass through fields

This modern highway will be built on a completely new alignment instead of the old and narrow roads. This 57 kilometer long new route will start from Maheshpur in Nawabganj and pass straight through the fields, connecting to the proposed ring road of Gonda city and finally joining the Gorakhpur-Shamli Expressway.

Service lanes will also be built on both sides of this 25 meter wide main road. For its construction, about 600 hectares of land will be acquired in a strip approximately 90 meters wide. According to NH Division, its design has been sent to the Union Ministry and as soon as the approval is received, the land acquisition work will be started.
