News India Live, Digital Desk: If you are a resident of Bihar, then you must know that the biggest headache in villages is land dispute. Be it fighting between brothers or conflict with neighbours, more than half of the problems arise due to measurement of land and old maps. But now Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has made preparations to attack the root of this problem.

Recently, during a program, the Chief Minister clearly said that the situation going on in Bihar Land Survey (Land Survey in Bihar) work under any circumstances 31st March Should be completed by. Now after this announcement, the stir in the administrative department of the state has intensified.

It’s not just about making maps…
Often people think that this is just a matter of drawing lines, but the truth is that the Chief Minister is linking it to the crimes taking place in the state. In fact, a large number of violent incidents taking place in Bihar are those disputes which start over pieces of land. If everyone’s ‘Khata’ and ‘Khesra’ becomes digital and the map (Digital Land Mapping) is updated, then the scope for fraud will be eliminated.

The Chief Minister’s message is very clear
Nitish Kumar has given strict instructions to the officials that now the dates will not be extended. Whatever shortcomings there are or wherever the work is stuck, complete it in mission mode. The Chief Minister believes that as soon as the survey and land mapping work is completed, the incidents of land disputes in the state will decline by 60% to 70%.

What should the public do?
The ultimatum has been received, but it will be beneficial only if the public also remains aware. If your ancestors own land and you do not yet have solid documents or Khatian, then this is the best time to get it updated. This deadline of the Chief Minister is not only for the officers, but is also a signal for those people who have been waiting for their land cases in the courts for years.

Overall, Bihar is now desperate to move out of the land confusion and move towards a systematic digital record. This date of 31st March can prove to be a milestone for the social peace of Bihar.
