News India Live, Digital Desk: Us Strike on Anti-India Violence: The US, which has consistently carried out terrorist activities against India, has officially declared a Foreign Terrorist Organization – FTO and specially designated global terrorist (Specially designed Global Terrorist) group. This step is a major and important diplomatic step towards preventing frequent target violence in Jammu and Kashmir.
The US State Department has clarified that TRF is the main conviction of the attack on the Indian Tibet Border Police (ITBP) personnel in Pahalgam in August 2022. ‘The Resistance Front’ is a pseudo-organization of the notorious terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let). This terrorist group mainly recruits youth through online mediums and targets innocent civilians, especially Kashmir pundits, members of the minority community, migrant laborers and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir. They often use new methods for attacks and show themselves with new names to hide their identity.
With this announcement, all TRF related assets and financial assets will be blocked in the US. Also, it will be illegal for American citizens or any person or institution to be in the jurisdiction of America to do any kind of transaction with this organization. This simply means that it will be difficult for them to raise funds and conduct their activities at the international level.
The Government of India has already declared TRF as a terrorist organization under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Now this move of America will further strengthen India in the fight against terrorism globally. The Government of India will now also demand the United Nations (UN) to list TRF as a global terrorist organization, making widespread pressure on this organization internationally. It is considered an important achievement in the global fight against terrorism.
