News India Live, Digital Desk: There is a conch in the worship place of almost every Hindu house. It is considered very sacred and auspicious. It is said that in the house where the sound of conch shell echoes in the morning and evening, negative energy stays away from there and positivity is spread there. The conch is considered to be the favorite of Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi, and due to its origin from the churning of the ocean, it is also called the brother of Goddess Lakshmi.

But do you know that just keeping a conch in the house is not enough? If it is not kept with the right method and correct rules, then instead of giving auspicious results, it can also give inauspicious results. Many people unknowingly make some mistakes due to which they are not able to get the full results of the puja.

So let us know some simple and correct rules for keeping the conch in the puja room.

1. Never keep the conch empty

This is the most common and biggest mistake. The conch kept in the puja room should never be empty. Always keep it filled with Ganga water or pure clean water. It is believed that an empty conch shell invites negativity and financial crisis in the house. A conch filled with water attracts happiness, peace and prosperity in the house.

2. Don’t forget to keep it on the ground

The conch is very sacred, hence it should never be kept directly on the ground or on the floor of the puja room. Always install the conch on a clean pedestal. For this you can spread a red or yellow colored silk cloth or use a metal (silver, brass) stand.

3. In which direction should the mouth of the conch be kept?

The direction in which the shankha is placed matters a lot. The pointed part of the conch kept in puja should always be towards the idols of God and the open part should be upwards, towards you. The conch kept in this way maintains the flow of positive energy in the house.

4. Keep conch shells separate for worship and blowing.

According to the scriptures, the conch with which you bathe God or offer water should never be blown. Always use a different conch for blowing. It is considered best to keep the conch for worship and the conch for blowing separately.

5. Take special care of cleanliness

Like other things in the puja room, the purity and cleanliness of the conch shell should also be taken care of. Change the water kept in the conch shell daily and offer it to God after bathing. Fill again with clean water. Keep cleaning the conch regularly.

By keeping these small things in mind, you can ensure that the conch kept in your house does not remain just an object, but becomes a source of happiness, prosperity and positive energy in your house.
