Delhi-NCR: Suffocation of pollution and increasing cold

It has become difficult for the people living in Delhi and its surrounding areas to breathe. The air quality remains ‘very poor’. Although it has not rained for the last few days, the sky is cloudy. The Meteorological Department says that strong winds will blow in the next two days, due to which the effect of cold will be felt even more. There is no hope of rain at present.

Snowfall has started in the higher areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, due to which the coldness has increased in the plains as well. Due to the impact of western disturbance, light rain and snowfall is likely to continue in these states.

Condition of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan

  • Uttar Pradesh: Mild cold i.e. ‘pink winter’ has knocked here. The weather will remain clear, but fog and cold will increase in the morning and night.
  • Bihar: Here too the weather is expected to be completely clear. Mild cold and fog may start by 10th November.
  • Rajasthan: At present the weather remains dry, but the temperature has started falling. There may be light drizzle at some places.
