Delhi police encounter today: Last night the streets of Delhi echoed with the sound of bullets. Crime Branch of Delhi Police and Bihar Police together carried out an operation in which four famous criminals of Bihar were killed. Police say that this gang was planning a big conspiracy to spread terror and unrest in the entire state just before the Bihar Assembly elections.
This encounter took place at around 2:20 am on the intervening night of 22nd and 23rd October in Rohini area of Delhi. There was a face-to-face encounter between police and miscreants on Bahadur Shah Marg, in which heavy bullets were fired from both sides. In this firing, all four miscreants were shot, who were immediately taken to Dr. BSA Hospital in Rohini, but the doctors declared them dead.
Who were these criminals who were killed in Delhi?
This gang of slain criminals was known as ‘Sigma and Company’, whose leader was Ranjan Pathak.
- Ranjan Pathak (age 25):The gang leader, who was a resident of Sitamarhi district of Bihar.
- Bimlesh Mahato alias Bimlesh Sahni (age 25):He was also a resident of Sitamarhi, Bihar.
- Manish Pathak (age 33):Ranjan Pathak’s companion and resident of Sitamarhi.
- Aman Thakur (age 21):He was a resident of Karawal Nagar, Delhi.
According to the police, this gang had spread its network not only in Bihar but also in Nepal and was wanted for many serious crimes.
Used to send his biodata to the media after committing murder!
The leader of this gang, Ranjan Pathak, was so fearless that his exploits even made headlines in the media. This is the same criminal who, after committing a high-profile murder in Sitamarhi, had proudly sent his resume to the media, as if he was applying for a government job.
The police had got an audio call of this gang, which revealed that this gang was making a dangerous plan to spoil the atmosphere before the Bihar elections and create chaos in the state. After this input, the police carried out this operation.
