Chhath Puja is the biggest and important festival of Bihar. Keeping this in mind, the state government has declared holidays in schools and government offices on the occasion of Chhath Puja. There is a holiday of Chhath Puja in the state, so that students and teachers can participate in this festival with full devotion.

Jharkhand

Like Bihar, Chhath Puja has deep cultural roots in Jharkhand too. Here too there is a government holiday due to Chhath Puja. Uttar Pradesh

The festival of Chhath Puja is celebrated with great pomp in Uttar Pradesh, especially in Eastern Uttar Pradesh (Purvanchal).
