What is Toffee Samosa?
This is a creative version of simple samosas. In this, the stuffing of samosa is wrapped in the shape of toffee. Its crispy cover and spicy masala inside make it a perfect ‘finger food’ for parties.
Ingredients
Fine flour: 2 cups
Celery: half teaspoon
Oil/Ghee for Moyan: 4 tbsp
boiled potatoes: 3-4 (mashed)
Pea: half cup
Spices: Red chilli, dry mango powder, garam masala, salt (as per taste)

Method of preparation (Step-by-Step Recipe)
1. Knead the dough: Add salt, celery and moyan (oil) to the flour and mix well. Add water little by little and knead a stiff dough and leave it covered for 20 minutes.
2. Prepare the Stuffing: Heat some oil in a pan. Add cumin, peas and mashed potatoes to it. Now add all the dry spices and fry for 5 minutes. Finally add green coriander and let the mixture cool.
3. Shape toffee:
Make small balls of dough and roll them into rectangles.
Place potato stuffing in the middle.
Now roll it and press both the ends with your fingers to give it a ‘toffee’ like twist.
4. Crispy Fry: Heat oil in a pan and fry these toffee samosas on medium flame until they become golden and crisp.
Some special tips for Holi party
Colorful Samosas: If you want to make them even more special, you can add natural colors to the flour by adding spinach puree (green) or beetroot juice (red).
Serving: Serve them with sweet and sour tamarind chutney or mint chutney.
Why will kids like it?
This ‘toffee look’ of samosas attracts children a lot. It is easy to eat and children can easily hold it and eat it while playing Holi.
