News India Live, Digital Desk: On the electoral soil of Bihar, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has made the biggest and direct attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar so far. Cornering both the leaders on the issue of depositing money in the accounts of women and the poor, he said that those who have been in power for 20 years have not deposited even a single rupee in the account of any poor, but now that the elections have come, they are promising to give ₹ 10,000.
While addressing the election rally, Priyanka Gandhi in her special style communicated directly with the public and asked them, “Has Modi ji or Nitish ji ever deposited even a single rupee in your account in the last 20 years?”
“This is your money, not anyone’s favor.”
Referring to Congress’ ‘Mahalakshmi Yojana’, Priyanka Gandhi said, “Today we are telling you that if our government comes to power, we will deposit ₹ 1 lakh every year i.e. about ₹ 8,500 per month in the account of a woman from every poor family. We are not saying this because there are elections, but because it is your right.”
Attacking the Modi-Nitish government, she said, “These people waive off loans worth lakhs of crores of big industrialists, but when it comes to giving money to the poor, they say where will the money come from? I want to tell you that this money is yours, it is not any leader’s money, it is the country’s money, and you have the first right on it.”
“Rahul is roaming day and night, but the media only shows Modi ji.”
Priyanka also targeted the media and said that her brother Rahul Gandhi is roaming across the country day and night to raise public issues, but only Narendra Modi is seen on TV. He said, “You have to understand that this is the election of your problems. This is the election of inflation, unemployment and poverty. If you fall prey to these misleading talks, you will have to face the same again for the next five years.”
He appealed to the public to vote thoughtfully this time for the future of their children and elect those people who really want to work for you and not just make false promises at the time of elections.
