Today’s weather in Bihar: This time the mood of winter in Bihar is different. It seems as if the cold has knocked the door ahead of time and has started making records as soon as it arrives. Only half of the month of November has passed, but from the southern areas of the state to Seemanchal, the mercury is continuously falling.
Mist in the morning, warm sunshine in the afternoon and a bone-chilling wind as the sun sets – this is the story of the weather in Bihar these days. According to Patna Meteorological Centre, this is just a trailer of the cold, the cold is going to be even more harsh in the coming days.
Why is it getting so cold?
For the last one week, westerly winds have increased the coolness. These winds are blowing at a speed of 30 kilometers per hour, due to which the night temperature has gone much below normal. In districts like Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Gaya and Buxar, the situation is such that the night temperature reaches 7 degrees Celsius. Getting this cold in the month of November is like a record.
Even though there may be some relief from sunlight during the day, the effect of cold doubles in the evening. In the morning, blanket of fog was also seen in many districts, especially in Purnia, the visibility had reduced to only 800 meters. The good thing is that there is no hope of rain at the moment, the weather will be completely dry.
Where is the most, where is the little relief?
At present, South Bihar remains the hotspot of cold. People in Kaimur, Rohtas and Aurangabad are facing severe cold. On Monday, the lowest temperature in the entire state was recorded in Nowhatta of Rohtas.
On the other hand, in some areas like East Champaran, the day temperature is crossing 31 degrees. It is clear from this that a big difference is being seen in day and night temperatures in Bihar. The cold in the morning and evening has also increased in areas of Seemanchal and Mithilanchal, like Katihar, Purnia, Araria and Kishanganj.
What is the condition of the capital Patna?
There is no severe cold in Patna right now, but winter has made its presence felt. The night temperature here remains around 16-17 degrees. The sunlight of the day is giving relief, but the cold winds of the evening are causing shivering. The Meteorological Department estimates that the mercury in Patna may fall further by 2 degrees in the next few days. By the end of November, cold will enter its true colors in entire Bihar as well as Patna.
How will the next 5 days be?
According to the Meteorological Department, there is no chance of rain for the next 5 days, but the cold will increase further. The night temperature may fall further by 2 to 3 degrees. Due to the clear sky, the earth is cooling down quickly at night and the icy winds coming from the north are increasing this cold further. So get ready, because the real winter season is about to begin.
