If you travel in Noida-Greater Noida Metro, then there is a good and relieving news for you. The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to further strengthen your security. Now the commandos of Uttar Pradesh Special Security Force (UPSSF) will take over the responsibility of security of 21 stations of Noida-Greater Noida Metro Line.

Now special forces will be deployed in the metro

The state government has approved the deployment of a special team of 46 soldiers and officers from the 5th battalion of UPSSF for the security of the metro. This decision has been taken because the crowd of people at metro stations is continuously increasing and the need for security has become greater than before. This new security team will include 1 Assistant Commandant, 3 Sub-Inspectors, 6 Head Constables and 36 Constables. All these will especially work to improve the security system of the metro.

This is the same battalion which is handling the security of Rapid Rail.

Let us tell you that this is not a new force, rather it is the same 5th battalion which already has the responsibility of security of important places like Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) and Hindon Airport. This step of the government shows how serious they are about the safety of passengers. Senior officials also believed that it is very important to take this step to increase the security of the metro, so that the security personnel can do their work well without any pressure.

After long deliberations, the Government has approved the creation of these 46 posts keeping in mind the current and future security needs of the Metro. Instructions have also been given to senior officials to take further action in this regard.
