News India Live, Digital Desk: Untold Secret of Mahabharata: Bhagavad Gita, is a unique book of Hinduism in which Lord Krishna has told the essence of religion, karma, devotion, knowledge and salvation. We got this knowledge as a teachings given to Arjuna in the battlefield of Kurukshetra, but very few people know that Lord Krishna had provided this divine knowledge to many other great souls before Arjuna. In the Mahabharata, Sri Krishna himself mentions it. In the fourth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna explains to Arjuna that he first provided this immortal knowledge to Sun God Vivaswan. After this, Sun God gave this knowledge to his son Manu Manu Maharaj or Vaivaswat Manu, who is considered the father of humanity on earth. This knowledge from Manu reached his son and eminent king Ikshvaku, who laid the foundation of Suryavanshi kings of Ayodhya. Thus this holy knowledge continued to move through this great tradition of kings, but over time this knowledge gradually disappeared on earth, or its real meaning was distorted. Then Lord Krishna again revealed it through Arjuna for the restoration of religion on earth and salvation of humanity. It was not just a preaching given in a battlefield, but is an eternal source of spiritual and moral guidance for the entire human race. This revelation makes it clear that the knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita is not limited to a particular time or person, but it is eternal and universal. It is a symbol of that infinite knowledge which has been present since the beginning of the creation and is manifested by appropriate mediums in every era. It also teaches us that the path of truth is eternal, even if the listeners and promoters change.
