News India Live, Digital Desk: UP CM Yogi Adityanath: There is a new wave of change in Uttar Pradesh these days! The government is not only changing the names of big cities or railway stations, but now bus bases associated with common people are also getting a new and proud identity. Recently, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken an important decision and changed the names of two important bus stations of the state. This step shows how serious the government is to preserve its cultural and historical pride and respect public sentiments.
So let’s know which are these two bus stations and what will be their new names, which will now give them a new identity:
-
New name of Saharanpur Bus Station:
The important city of western Uttar Pradesh, Saharanpur, who was generally known from its bus base, has now got a new and religious importance. Now Saharanpur bus station will be known as ‘Maa Shakambhari Devi Bus Station’! Changing this name is connected to the famous Maa Shakambhari Devi temple located in the region, where millions of devotees come to visit. This decision reflects the deep faith of the local people that keep it towards this holy site. Now the name of the bus stand will be directly connected to this reverence. -
New name of Hajiganj Bus Station of Unnao:
Unnao, located in the Doab region of Ganga-Yamuna, has its own historical background, an important bus station there has also got a new identity. Unnao’s ‘Hajiganj bus station’ has been renamed as ‘Unnao Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad Bus Station’! The name has been dedicated to Chandrashekhar Azad, one of the greatest freedom fighters in India, who sacrificed his life for the independence of the country. This naming will not only remind our younger generation of their sacrifice, but will also inspire them to patriotism.
Why is the name changing?
Changing the name is not only a formal process, but an attempt to revive the spirit of that place, its history and its beliefs. The Uttar Pradesh government is constantly changing the names of places which have been related to a deity, freedom fighter or a great historical personality. The purpose of this is to connect people with their roots, bring out the cultural identity and tell the future generations about their glorious history.
This decision certainly fulfills the old desire of the local people and will create a new respect in their mind. It is expected that these changes will not only improve travel experience, but it will also promote local heritage and values. This shows that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the government is constantly making efforts for the development and cultural upliftment of the state.
