Lucknow: The wait of lakhs of youth dreaming of becoming government teachers in Uttar Pradesh is finally over. Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the much-awaited examination calendar for the year 2026. The biggest news is that the UP TET 2026 exam, which has been stuck for the last four years, will be conducted on 2, 3 and 4 July. In the meeting chaired by Commission Chairman Prashant Kumar, along with TET, new dates for TGT, PGT and Assistant Professor recruitment have also been announced, due to which there is a wave of happiness among the candidates.
Complete schedule of UP teacher recruitment examinations at a glance
The Commission has cleared the way for major recruitment examinations that have been pending for a long time. The dates of major examinations are as follows:
- Assistant Professor Recruitment: this exam 18 and 19 April 2026 It will be held on 12th, through which 910 posts will be filled.
- Lecturer (PGT) Recruitment: Exam for PGT posts 9th and 10th May 2026 Has been determined.
- Assistant Teacher (TGT) Recruitment: recruitment exam for tgt 3rd and 4th June 2026 Will be done on.
- UP Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET): Organization of biggest exam UPTET 2, 3 and 4 July 2026 Will be done on.
Unprecedented arrangements to stop paper leaks, examination will be conducted under the surveillance of CCTV-jammer.
Taking a lesson from the allegations of paper leaks and rigging in the previous examinations, the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission does not want to leave any stone unturned this time. Commission Chairman Prashant Kumar has made it clear that transparency will be the first priority in all examinations. For this, AI-based CCTV cameras, voice recorders and jammers will be installed at the examination centers so that any kind of copying or irregularities can be detected immediately. Apart from this, strict rules like ‘Digital Locker’ and ‘Biometric Verification’ for every candidate have been implemented to keep the question papers safe. These high-tech security measures are aimed at providing a fair and secure environment to millions of candidates.
UPTET notification will come in April
There is maximum enthusiasm among the candidates regarding the UPTET exam which is being held after a long gap of four years. The Commission has clarified that the notification giving information about the detailed schedule and application process for the examination can be issued by April 2026.
