The Indian government’s cyber security agency ‘Cart-in’ has issued a serious warning regarding many vulnerabilites in both these popular web browsers. CERT-in advice users to immediately update their browsers, because by taking advantage of these weaknesses, hackers can reach your system and endanger your personal information.
What is CERT-in warning?
Cart-in has placed these weaknesses in a very serious category. This means that these weaknesses can be misused easily and can cause major losses from them.
- Google chrome users: Chrome has found many weaknesses like ‘Heap Buffer Overflow’, ‘Use-AFTER-Free’ and ‘Type Confusion’. These weaknesses can allow the attackers to execute the code from distance, reach sensitive information and bypass safety restrictions.
- Mozilla firfox users: Firefox browser has seen similar weaknesses, which can help the attackers to unauthorized and violate data.
