Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi Conducts Surprise Inspection, Reprimands Officials for Negligence in Work

News India Live, Digital Desk: Agriculture Minister: Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi today conducted a surprise inspection to take stock of various schemes and development works in Balrampur district. During this inspection, his mercury climbed into the quality of work and the negligence done by the authorities and immediately reprimanded the concerned authorities. His strict action made it clear that the state government would not tolerate any kind of laxity in the implementation of development projects.

The incident happened when the Agriculture Minister was inspecting the construction work of a dispensary building of the Government Agricultural Science Center. Minister Shahi was very unhappy after seeing the construction situation. He particularly raised deep objections to the use of inferior level wood, which were being used in windows and doors. Expressing displeasure, he told the authorities in clear terms that the wood of ‘rotten’ and ‘bad quality’ should be removed immediately. This comment was directly on the quality of the material used in the work and was exposing that the rules were not being followed.

The Agriculture Minister warned the officials in clear terms that if they could not discharge their duties properly, the government can take such rigorous decisions for them that they do not even expect. He instructed all the concerned officials and contractors present on the spot that no compromise will be tolerated with the material used in the construction and workmanship (work quality). Their goal was clear: Development work should be completed on time and with high quality, so that the public can get real benefits.

Minister Shahi not only inspected the works of the Agriculture Department, but also reviewed the progress of the works of every house tap scheme under the Water Power Mission. His visit is also a proof that the Uttar Pradesh government is promoting transparency and accountability and ensuring that public welfare schemes are properly implemented at the ground level. His strict comment is a tough message for the authorities that they have to be serious about their duties and ensure quality tasks.
