Uttar pradesh weather update: After the scorching heat in Uttar Pradesh, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a change in weather in some parts of the state on Monday, 2 June 2025. According to the Meteorological Department, today there is a possibility of rain, thunderstorm and hailstorm in many districts, which can give people relief from the heat. However, during this time a significant drop in temperature will not be recorded.
According to the IMD forecast, during the next few hours, there are estimated to have medium to strong rains, thunderstorms and 30-40 kilometers per hour in many districts like Agra, Ayodhya, Kanpur, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Kanpur, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Aligarh, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Gorakhpur during the next few hours. Hail can also occur in some places.
In some parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh, there will be a humid heat with strong sunlight, while the weather can be seen in western UP after noon. The Meteorological Department has said that a slight drop in temperature may be recorded, but it may take a few days to get complete relief from the scorching heat and humidity. Farmers have been advised to keep an eye on the weather information and take measures to keep their crops safe. The public has also been advised to stay in homes and avoid unnecessary travel in the event of bad weather. This alert is an indication that pre-monsoon activities in UP can be intensified.
