News India Live, Digital Desk: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made a big announcement, under which singing of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’ has now been made mandatory in every educational institution including all government and private schools in the state. The Chief Minister made this announcement while addressing an ‘Ekta Yatra’ program in Gorakhpur.
The feeling of patriotism and respect will be strengthened
CM Yogi said that this step has been taken with the aim of strengthening the feeling of respect and patriotism towards the country among the students and youth. He said, “Expressing gratitude towards the national anthem Vande Mataram, this song should be sung and recited publicly in every school and college. It is necessary for everyone.”
The announcement comes at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the year-long celebrations to commemorate 150 years of the national song Vande Mataram. CM Yogi stressed that no religion or sect can be bigger than the country and we should ignore all those things which hinder national unity.
“Now no Jinnah should be born”
Addressing the gathering in Gorakhpur, the Chief Minister said that we have to recognize the forces which weaken the unity and integrity of the country. “We have to counter them effectively so that no Jinnah is born in future to challenge the integrity of India,” he said.
This decision will add a new chapter to the education system of Uttar Pradesh, the main objective of which is to deepen the sense of reverence and respect for their motherland in the minds of the students. The Government believes that Vande Mataram, which has been an important symbol of India’s freedom struggle, is still an equally great source of inspiration for the unity and pride of the country.
