In the famous saint and Haridwar, Swami Kailashanand Giri Maharaj of Sri Siddhbali Siddhpeeth has said an important point about the importance of Vedas and their right to study. He has clarified that Vedas are not an ordinary book, but divine knowledge, and it is not possible to understand or read them easily by everyone.

Veda: Stores of divine knowledge
According to Swami Kailashanand Giri, Vedas are considered the oldest and sacred texts of Hinduism. In these, deep knowledge from the beginning of creation to the purpose of human life is hidden. They are considered as ‘apaurusheya’ (not composed by humans), that is, this knowledge is directly received from the Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul. Therefore, they should be studied and followed with extreme reverence, purity and concentration.

Who has the right to read the Vedas?
Swami Kailashanand Giri emphasized that the right to read and understand the Vedas is only for people with some specific abilities. They do not mean that this right is only on the basis of birth or varna, but the main thing is merit, knowledge, purification of mind and unwavering devotion to God.

He explained that the knowledge of the Vedas is very subtle and esoteric. Only the person whose mind is calm, pure and honest. The one who has the desire to read the Vedas must first discipline himself, control the senses and have a devoted feeling towards the study. If the person’s mind is not pure, he is full of desires and desires, then he will never understand the essence of the Vedas, no matter how much he reads them.

Historically, knowledge and spiritual rituals have been led mainly the Brahmin class, as they were specially prepared for this study. However, the emphasis of Swami Kailashanand Giri is on the fact that even in today’s era, the person who walks on the path of loyalty, purity, cultivation and dedication can understand the real meaning of the Vedas, irrespective of his class.

Importance of Vedas:
Swami Kailashanand Giri also said that Vedas are not only about rituals, but they also explain the art of living, morality, philosophy and self-knowledge. By following the knowledge hidden in the Vedas, a person can not only improve his life, but can also achieve spiritual uplift.

Thus, it is important to understand that the study of Vedas is a sacred and serious task, for which it is extremely important to have the right ability and a serene mind.
