News India Live, Digital Desk: A video taken near the sanctum sanctorum and exit gate of Baba Baidyanath Dham temple is viral on the internet. It can be seen that the security personnel of the temple are mercilessly pushing the common devotees who came for darshan and not even giving them a chance to bow their heads properly. There is immense anger among the devotees regarding this behaviour.

1. The political backlash of Nishikant Dubey

Reposting this video, MP Nishikant Dubey has made serious allegations against Chief Minister Hemant Soren and the Congress coalition government:

Accusation of not holding the meeting: Dubey said that the president of this temple is the Chief Minister himself, but since 2019 20 March 2026 Till now not a single meeting of the temple management board has been held.

Question on Sanatan: He sarcastically wrote, “How does Hemant Soren ji know the meaning of Sanatan?” He alleged that due to the government’s apathy, common devotees were being humiliated.

Legal battle: The MP reminded that he is fighting a case in the Jharkhand High Court from 2023 for better management of the temple arrangements and ‘Q Complex’.

2. Viral Videos and Social Media Reaction

In the video, people are angry over the facilities provided to VIPs compared to common devotees and the ‘animal like treatment’ being meted out to the common man:

Dignified philosophy: Users sharing the video say that every devotee deserves a dignified darshan, whether rich or poor.

Nostalgia: Some people also mentioned the FIR lodged last year (August 2025) against Nishikant Dubey and Manoj Tiwari, when they were accused of ‘forcible entry into the sanctum sanctorum’.

3. Status of temple management

The administration argues that security personnel have to be alert to control crowd pressure, so that a stampede-like situation does not arise. However, the ‘heartlessness’ seen in the video has weakened these arguments of the administration.
