Vijay Mallya’s claim: Pranab Mukherjee pleaded to save Kingfisher

Vijay Mallya, a fugitive businessman facing allegations of financial fraud and money laundering in India, has given a big statement about the collapse of Kingfisher Airlines. Mallya claims that he had personally sought help from the then Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee to save the airline from drowning.

Kingfisher Airlines, once one of India’s major aerial carriers, faced serious financial difficulties in 2012 and eventually stopped operating. After this incident, thousands of Indian banks were owed to Mallya.

According to Mallya, when Kingfisher was struggling with serious cash crisis, he contacted Pranab Mukherjee, who was the Finance Minister at the time. Mallya claimed that he had explained the seriousness of the situation and the government intervention necessary to save the airline possible. His statement implications that if he had proper support at that time, Kingfisher Airlines could have been saved and today’s unfortunate situation could be avoided.

This is not the first time Mallya has blamed external factors or government apathy for the collapse of Kingfisher. However, his new claim takes the name of a top Union Minister directly, who has once again questioned the various aspects involved in the case and the decisions of that time.

Vijay Mallya is currently living in the United Kingdom, and the Indian government is constantly trying to extradite him to bring him back to face fraud allegations. His statements have come to light at a time when both public and judicial levels are constantly being monitored on this high-profile case.
