News India Live, Digital Desk: If you also use LPG cylinder and want to take advantage of the subsidy provided by the government, then it is very important to do one thing – linking your gas connection with Aadhaar card. Many people feel that this is a difficult and lengthy task, for which they will have to make repeated trips to the gas agency. But it is not like that at all.
You can easily link your LPG connection to Aadhaar even while sitting at home. Whether your connection is of Indane, Bharat Gas or HP, we are telling you three different and very simple ways to link it.
Method 1: Online Linking (Easiest)
This is the fastest and easiest method.
- First of all, visit the official website of UIDAI uidai.gov.in Go to.
- There select an option like ‘Aadhaar Seeding’ or ‘Start Now’.
- You will be asked for information like your location and state, fill it.
- Now in ‘Benefit Type’ ‘LPG’ Select and select the name of your gas company (eg Indian Oil-IOCL, Bharat Gas-BPCL, Hindustan Petroleum-HPCL).
- Next, fill in your distributor name and your consumer number or LPG ID.
- Now submit by entering your mobile number, email ID and Aadhaar number.
- An OTP will come on your registered mobile number. As soon as you enter this OTP, your Aadhaar linking request will be submitted. In a few days your Aadhaar will be linked to your connection.
Second method: By visiting gas agency (offline)
If you are not comfortable with the online method, you can also adopt this traditional method.
- Go to your gas agency.
- Take ‘LPG-Aadhaar Linking Form’ from there.
- Fill all your information in this form carefully, like consumer number, name of gas connection and your Aadhaar number.
- Attach a photocopy of your Aadhar card and a photocopy of the gas connection card along with the form.
- Submit the filled form. Your Aadhaar will be linked by the agency in a few days.
Third method: IVRS (by calling)
You can also link Aadhaar by calling the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) number of your gas company.
- Every gas company has a different IVRS number, which you can find out from your agency.
- When you call this number, follow the instructions given on the phone.
- You will be asked for your consumer number and Aadhaar number.
- Your request will be registered as soon as you provide this information.
With these simple steps you can ensure that your gas subsidy comes directly into your bank account without any interruption.
