First of all change the name in ‘Aadhaar Card’ (Update Aadhaar Online)

Changing name in Aadhaar card should be the very first step as Aadhaar works as a main document to update PAN card.

Visit UIDAI portal: First of all log in to the official website myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in.

Login Process: Login using your Aadhaar number and OTP received on registered mobile.

Select Name Update: Go to ‘Name/Gender/Date of Birth & Address Update’ section and click on ‘Update Aadhaar Online’.

Upload Documents: Upload the scanned copy of Marriage Certificate or Gazette Notification.

fee payment: Deposit the online fee of approximately ₹50.

SRN Number: You will get a service request number from which you can track the status.

Now change name in ‘PAN Card’ (Update PAN Card Online)

After updating Aadhaar, updating PAN card becomes even easier:

NSDL/UTIITSL Website: Visit the official website of NSDL (Protean).

Application Type: Select the option ‘Changes or Correction in existing PAN data’.

Fill details: Fill your new name and Aadhaar number correctly.

e-KYC: Select the option of ‘Authenticate via Aadhaar’, this will directly match your name with the Aadhaar data.

Payment: Pay the prescribed fee for the update (approximately ₹106 to ₹110).

Digital Sign: Complete the application through Aadhaar based e-Sign.
