News India Live, Digital Desk: Heavy Rain Alert: The weather has taken a turn in Jharkhand amidst the preparations for Durga Puja and Navratri festival. The impact of a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal is now visible in the state, due to which many districts including the capital Ranchi are raining intermittently. The Meteorological Department has released ‘Yellow Alert’, fearing heavy rains and thunderstorms in many parts of the state for the next two-three days.

Today these 11 districts will be monitored

According to the Meteorological Center, Ranchi, today i.e. on Tuesday, special precautions are needed in 11 districts of the state. There may be heavy rainfall at some places in these districts and strong winds can also blow. The districts for which warnings have been issued are:

  • Garhwa
  • Palamu
  • Latehar
  • Chatra
  • Koderma
  • Gumla
  • Hazaribagh
  • Lohardaga
  • Giridih
  • Ramgarh
  • Deoghar

Why the condition of the weather changed?

Meteorologists say that a cyclonic circulation has been formed over the Bay of Bengal, due to which it has become a low pressure area. Its effect is being seen in Jharkhand as well as Odisha and West Bengal. Due to this system, the state will be cloudy for the next few days and light to moderate rains are likely to occur in almost all places.

What to do and what not to do?

The Meteorological Department has appealed to the people to be vigilant. Especially the districts where Yellow alerts have been asked to take special care:

  • Stay in a safe place at the time of rain and lightning.
  • Avoid standing under trees and electric poles.
  • Farmers have been advised to take care of the weather while working in their fields.

It is the season of the festival, so if you are going out for walking or shopping for the pandal, then know the condition of the weather.
