News India Live, Digital Desk: Nowadays, when it comes to the rupee and dollar in the markets, everyone’s beats become a bit faster, right? The rupee versus dollar game is constantly pulling us towards us, and recently the Indian rupee has once again faced a decline of the US dollar. This is not just a number, but the direct impact of many big economic factors.

Right now, 1 US dollar is equal to about ₹ 88.175 Indian rupees

Rupee beats faster! Rolled again in front of the dollar, reached 87.70 ‘support level’ – know what will be the effect on your pocket?

Recently, the Indian rupee (INR) has once again weakened against the US Dollar (USD). On Thursday, the rupee fell by 35 paise to close at $ 88.20 per US dollars, and on Friday morning trading declined by 7 paise, leading to 88.27. Shortly before, the rupee had reached its historic low level 88.50. This decline is stirring the market, and the reason is many global and domestic factors.

Why is our rupee falling?
According to experts, there are many reasons for the fall in the rupee:

  • Dollar growing power: Better employment data coming from America has further strengthened the dollar. When America’s economy performs well, investors show more confidence in the dollar, which increases its demand.
  • Price of high crude oil: India is a major importer of crude oil. When crude oil prices rise, we have to spend more dollars for imports, which increases the pressure on the rupee and weakens it.
  • Reduction in foreign investment: Foreign institutional investors (FIIS) from Indian stock markets to withdraw money are also a major reason for the weakness of rupee. When foreign investors withdraw their money, the demand for the dollar increases and the rupee falls.
  • India’s trade deficit and inflation: India’s increasing trade deficit (when imports exceed export) and higher inflation than American also affects the value of rupee.

What can happen next?
According to experts, the rupee has come to an important ‘support level’ of 87.70. If it falls from this level further, it can further go up to 87.50 or 87.20 levels. At the same time, if there is any improvement in the rupee, then it may have to face ‘Resistance’ (stop level) around 88.40. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is interfering in the market to control this fluctuations, so that the instability of the rupee can be reduced. Nevertheless, the rupee may remain under pressure due to American charges and concerns of importer demand.

What is the effect on your pocket?
When the rupee is weak, imported things become expensive. It includes petrol, diesel, electronic goods and many raw materials. This is afraid of increasing inflation in the country, however, exporting Indian companies (eg IT and Pharma) can benefit from it, as they will get more money in dollars.

This is a complex economic situation, on which it is important to pay attention to every investor and citizen.
