News India Live, Digital Desk: Cricket Controversy: Yuvraj Singh’s father and former cricketer Yograj Singh is once again in the headlines for his statements. Yograj Singh, who is always known for his impeccable and often controversial comments, has made a direct and serious accusation of 1983 World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev. He has raised the question again, giving air to the decades -old match -fixing controversy, why the file of the ongoing investigation against Kapil Dev was closed?
In a recent interview, Yograj Singh said, “Ask all the journalists, the match-fixing file in the Supreme Court, where was it closed? Who was involved in the match fixing? First Kapil Dev’s name came, then Azharuddin’s more players. Why were that file closed and why were the heads of many big stalwarts cut again?
The case is of the 90s when former cricketer Manoj Prabhakar alleged that Kapil Dev had offered him money to perform poorly in a match. The case was also investigated by the CBI and in the end Kapil Dev was acquitted of all the allegations, but now Yograj Singh has rejected this cold controversy again.
Adavat is older than Kapil Dev
This is not the first time Yograj Singh has targeted Kapil Dev. His displeasure with Kapil is quite old. Yograj alleges that when Kapil Dev was the captain, he had made Yograj out of the team. Some time ago, Yograj had created a sensation by saying that he had reached to shoot Kapil Dev’s house with a pistol and shot him to shoot him.
Dhoni also lives on target
Apart from Kapil Dev, Yograj Singh has also been constantly criticizing former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He believes that because of Dhoni, his son Yuvraj Singh’s career ended before time.
These new and explosive allegations of Yograj have once again created a stir in the Indian cricket world. He has not directly taken anyone’s favor, but his indication is clear that the truth of match fixing is still suppressed. However, it will have to be seen what a big figure of Kapil Dev or the cricket world react to these statements.
