Woman attempts suicide after family dispute:

Gadag: A heartbreaking incident took place in Bhishma Lake of Gadag city, where a mother and her two children attempted suicide due to family dispute. Gangamma Purda, a resident of Panchakshari Nagar of Gadag, attempted suicide by taking both his children Narasimha and Manoj.

When Gangamma, who had previously pushed the children into the lake, was about to jump into the lake itself that the two children left their mother and started running towards the lake crying. Seeing their troubles, the tour staff immediately woke up, saved mother and children and called 112 and informed the police.

Gadag City Police immediately reached the spot and rescued mother and children, assured them and sent them home. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of Gadag City Police Station. The police have started further investigation into the incident.
