A woman has registered 45 cases against her husband. After which the Odisha High Court has said that doing so is a kind of cruelty.
Along with this, the court has accepted the divorce petition of the husband. The lower court had already approved the divorce, which has also been approved by the High Court. The court said that the way 45 cases were filed against the husband and his family, it is clear that there has been a deep rift in the relationship. The woman filed a petition against the 2023 order of the Family Court. The lower court approved the divorce and said that it is mental cruelty to register so many cases by the woman.
The couple was married on 11 May 2003. Initially they both lived in Cuttack and later they also lived in Bhubaneswar, America and Japan. However, their relationship started deteriorating and then they started complaining against each other. Due to this, the husband filed an application for divorce in 2009 and said that his wife is doing mental cruelty. The woman said in her petition filed in the court that her side should also be heard. The decision to divorce is unilateral. In this case, the family court approved the husband’s divorce petition and also sanctioned a survival of Rs 63 lakh for his wife. According to the husband’s lawyer, the woman lodged not one or two but 45 FIRs against her husband and family members. Apart from this, he was also beaten up several times.
The wife was accused of calling her husband’s parents out of the house by calling local goons. And she threatened to commit suicide to mentally torture her husband. The woman also went to her husband’s Thailand and India offices in India and created a ruckus. Due to which the husband’s mental condition deteriorated and decided to leave the job.
