After worshiping Mother Shailputri on the first day, Mother Brahmacharini, the goddess of penance and sacrifice, is worshiped on the second day. “Brahma” means penance and “Charini” means conduct. Who is Mother Brahmacharini?

In her previous birth, Mother Brahmacharini was born as a daughter in the house of Parvataraja Himalayas and did harsh penance to get Lord Shiva as her husband. At the behest of Narada ji, he meditated for thousands of years by eating only fruits and then dried bilva letters. Later he also abandoned that, due to which one of his names ‘Aparna’ was also there. This difficult penance created an outcry in the three worlds. In the end, happy with his penance, Brahma ji gave him a boon to get Lord Shiva as a husband. This form of mother is a symbol of patience, sacrifice and determination.

Simple method of worship:

1. Wake up early in the morning and take a bath and wear clean clothes. Wearing white or orange colored clothes is considered auspicious in worship on this day.
2. Install a picture or idol of Mother Brahmacharini on the post of worship.
3. Get the mother bathed with Ganga water and then offer flowers, akshat, roli, and sandalwood.
4. Mother Brahmacharini is very dear to white colored items, so offer them white flowers (like jasmine).

Mother’s favorite enjoyment and color:

• Dear Bhog: Mother Brahmacharini loves sugar (sugar) and panchamrit. It is believed that by offering sugar to the mother, the worshiper and her family members get a boon of a long life.
• Good color: The auspicious color of the second day of Navratri Royal Blue (Royal Blue) That is, the royal is blue. This color is considered a symbol of prosperity and peace.
