News India Live, Digital Desk: A horrific road accident occurred this morning in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. On Hosur Main Road, a speeding car first hit a bike rider and then went out of control and crashed into a divider and an electric pole. A total of 7 people lost their lives in this accident, some of whom died on the spot.
1. How did this horrific accident happen?
According to preliminary police investigation and eyewitnesses:
Obsession with Speed: The speed of the car was much more than the limit. It appears that the driver had lost control of the vehicle.
Trampled bike rider: The uncontrolled car first hit a biker coming from the front.
Car collides with a pillar: After hitting the bike, the car collided with an electric pole and crashed badly. The people inside the car remained buried under the debris for a long time.
2. Identification of those who died
Those who lost their lives in this accident included both car riders and bike riders:
7 people lost their lives: The dead include men and women. Most of the deceased are said to be youth.
Died in hospital: Some people were taken to hospital in critical condition, but doctors declared them dead.
3. Action of police and administration
As soon as information about the accident was received, Madivala traffic police and rescue team reached the spot.
Crane Help: Cranes and cutters had to be used to remove the bodies trapped in the damaged car.
Investigation started: Police are investigating whether the driver was drunk (Drunk and Drive) or there was some technical fault in the vehicle.
CCTV footage: Police have captured CCTV footage of the surrounding area so that the exact cause of the accident can be found out.
4. Traffic jam on Hosur Road
Due to this major accident, there was a long traffic jam on Hosur Road for several hours. People going to office in the morning had to face a lot of problems. At present the police has cleared the way by removing the damaged vehicles.
