Away from the heat of the plains, the weather patterns on the mountains have changed once again and the Meteorological Department has issued an important warning for today, i.e. 10 September 2025.

‘Yellow Alert’ released for 8 districts
According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is going to be very active in 8 districts of the state today. Due to this, there is a possibility of heavy rains somewhere in Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Almora, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh.

Not only rain, there is more danger!
This ‘yellow alert’ does not mean just rain. The Meteorological Department has also feared heavy rains in these districts as well as strong winds and thunderstorms (lightning fall). Do not forget to take the strong thunder of clouds lightly.

Why is it necessary to be careful?
At the time of heavy rains in the hilly areas, there is often a risk of landslides and rocks slipping, causing the roads to shut down. Therefore, the Meteorological Department has appealed to the local people and especially tourists to be cautious.
