News India Live, Digital Desk: If you are a woman and are worried about calendar dates every month, are troubled by unwanted facial hair or are gaining weight without any reason, then you are not alone. In today’s busy life, PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) has become an uninvited guest for us women.

We go to the doctor, he gives us hormone pills. As long as you take medicine, everything remains fine, as soon as you stop, the situation is the same again! But have you ever wondered what is its permanent solution? The answer is hidden in our Ayurveda.

Ayurveda believes that PCOS is not a disease but a disturbance in our lifestyle. When Kapha and Vata get aggravated in the body, this problem occurs. Let us know in simple language how you can control it sitting at home.

1. The magic of cinnamon
You may not know, but the ‘cinnamon’ kept in the spice box of your kitchen is no less than a boon for PCOS. It balances the insulin level in the body and helps in regularizing periods.

2. Keep distance from ‘white poison’
Ayurveda clearly says that if you want to improve hormones, you will have to give up sugar and flour. Both these things increase inflammation and fat in the body. Use jaggery or honey instead and say ‘tata-bye-bye’ to junk food.

3. Turmeric and Amla
Both of these are best for body cleansing (detox). Turmeric reduces inflammation and amla speeds up metabolism. You can drink Amla juice on an empty stomach in the morning or turmeric milk at night. This will bring glow on the face and also provide inner strength.

4. Get off the couch, get a sweat
The biggest enemy of PCOS is ‘laziness’. If you remain sitting all day long, even the medicine will not work. According to Ayurveda, you should do such exercises which cause sweating. Yoga (like Surya Namaskar, Butterfly Pose) or even just a 30-minute brisk walk can do wonders.

5. Reduce stress, get enough sleep
Worry is like a pyre – this saying fits perfectly with PCOS. Stress disturbs the balance of our hormones. Try to get good sleep of 7-8 hours at night.
