Elections are not won by speeches alone, the real game takes place in the pages of the voter list. Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath Know this very well. Therefore, he has given a clear and direct message to his workers and party officials. “Scrutinize the voter list in such a way that not even a single fake voter survives.”
Recently, in an important meeting held in Lucknow, CM Yogi’s style was very strict and ‘task master’. He has asked the workers not only to remain enthusiastic but also to remain conscious and do ground work. Let us understand in simple language what is this ‘plan’ of CM Yogi and why its timing matters in the politics of UP.
1. “If in doubt, lodge an objection”
CM Yogi has bluntly said that opposition parties often try to tamper with the voter list. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of BJP workers to remain alert like ‘spies’.
He says to check the voter list carefully. If you see a name that doesn’t live at that address, is deceased, or looks suspicious, don’t stay quiet. Register your objection immediately and do not rest until that fake name is deleted.
2. Preparation to knock on each house
It is better to sweat now than to rush on election day. CM Yogi has directed that the workers should contact door to door. Make sure that every one real and valid voters (Valid Voter’s) name should be in the list. It should not happen that one of our supporters goes to vote and finds out that his name is missing.
3. Don’t be lazy in filling the form
The administrative process is often tiring, but the CM explained to the workers not to shy away from filling ‘Form-7’. Complete the paperwork to get the fake name removed and the new (correct) name added. He described this as the biggest basis of strength of the organization.
4. The foundation of victory will be laid from here
It is often seen that after losing elections, parties blame EVMs or voter lists. Yogi Adityanath wants that BJP should not allow such a situation to arise. His mantra is clear, if your voter list is pure and bogus voters are out, then you have already won half the battle before the elections.
5. Eye on civic bodies and upcoming elections
In UP, there is election activity at every level, from urban bodies to cooperative institutions and eyes are also on the 2027 assembly elections. This order of CM Yogi shows that BJP has now come into ‘election mode’. They know that a strong hold at the booth level is the key to power in Lucknow.
