Yogi government is encouraging curiosity based education among students | News India

Lucknow, 23 September (HS). The Yogi Adityanath government has taken the initiative to encourage 'curiosity based education' for students of classes 6 to 8 of council schools. Under the National Invention Campaign led by Minister of State for Basic Education Sandeep Singh, efforts are being made to develop a scientific outlook among the students of these classes, provide them with various opportunities for experimentation and develop a proper understanding of the processes and methods of science.

Selection is done through competitions

Students are being selected through various competitions and activities organized under the ongoing 'Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan' in the month of September. Selected students will get an opportunity to compete at the development block and district level.

Quiz competition is the basis of selection

Quiz competitions have been organized to select promising students. Through these competitions, efforts are being made to promote reasoning, team work, competitive spirit, self-confidence in students and to create a positive environment for future competitions.

School level quiz competition was held on third Saturday

Students of every upper primary and composite school got the opportunity to participate in the school level quiz competition organized on the third Saturday of September. The list of three selected students who performed well in the competition has been sent to the concerned Block Education Officer for the development block level competition.

The exam will be held on block level on fourth Saturday

The examination of students selected in the school level competition will be held at the block level on fourth Saturday of September. Three students selected from each school will get an opportunity to participate in this competition. In the first phase of this competition which will be held in two phases, 3 students selected from each council higher primary schools of the development block will participate. The 25 students obtaining the highest marks in the examination of 25 multiple choice questions will be selected for the final phase. These 25 students will be divided into groups of 5 each and they will participate in the development block level quiz competition. In the final phase, the winning team will get an opportunity to participate in the district level quiz competition.
