Yogi government opened treasury before Diwali, 15 lakh employees lost their jobs

Even before the festival of Diwali, great news has come for about 15 lakh government employees of Uttar Pradesh! Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a Diwali gift and bonus to all eligible employees, which is going to double the fun of the festivals.

Calling it an honor for the hard work and dedication of the employees, Chief Minister Yogi said that their role is very important in the progress of the state and the government is always ready for the welfare of them and their families.

So how much money will come into the account?

After this decision of the government, every eligible employee ₹6,908 Bonus will be given. This bonus is equivalent to 30 days’ salary based on a maximum monthly salary of ₹7,000.

Who will get this Diwali gift?

This bonus will be available to all those non-gazetted employees who:

• Get salary up to Pay Matrix Level-8 (i.e. 4800 Grade Pay).
• This includes state government employees, employees of government-aided schools and technical institutions, employees of local bodies like municipal corporations and district panchayats.
• Apart from this, daily wage laborers of government departments will also get the benefit of this bonus.

How much burden will it put on the government?

This decision will cost the government treasury almost ₹1,022 crore This will be a burden, but the smile it will bring on the faces of 14.82 lakh employees and their families is priceless. The Chief Minister has given clear instructions to the officials that this money should reach the accounts of the employees before Diwali, so that they can celebrate their festival with joy and enthusiasm.
