Gorakhpur: The Uttar Pradesh government is going to take another big step to give a new and fast pace to the development of Purvanchal. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the much awaited Gorakhpur Link Expressway tomorrow, ie on 20 June. With the start of this expressway, Gorakhpur and surrounding areas will be directly contacted by Purvanchal Expressway, so that the journey to the state capital Lucknow will now be completed in just 3 to 3.5 hours.
What is the specialty of this expressway?
This expressway is not just a road, but a new corridor of Purvanchal’s progress. Let’s know its main things:

Length and Cost: This expressway is 91.352 km long and it has cost about ₹ 5,876 crore to build it.

Connectivity: This expressway connects Jaitpur bypass of Gorakhpur to Purvanchal Expressway in Salarpur, Azamgarh.

Heavy savings of time: Till now it used to take 6 to 7 hours to reach Lucknow from Gorakhpur, which will now be reduced to only 3.5 hours. This will not only save time, but the journey will also be comfortable.

There is a plan to create an Industrial Corridor on both sides, which will set up new industries here and create thousands of employment opportunities for local youth.
