77 feet high amazing form
This statue is not an ordinary statue. its entire height 77 feet Is! Just imagine, when you stand in front of it, how small you will look and how grand the huge form of the Lord will look. The most important thing is that this idol looks exactly the same as the idol of Ramlala present in the Ram temple of Ayodhya. The same Shyam Varna (black complexion), the same innocent smile and the same divinity.
Seeing this, it seems as if Ramlala of Ayodhya has taken a bigger form in Goa. It has been established in ‘Shri Sansthan Gokarna Portugal Jeevattam Math’, which is in Canacona area of Goa.
PM Modi also remained stunned
When Prime Minister Modi inaugurated it, the atmosphere there became completely devotional. The curtain was removed from this 77 feet high statue amid slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’. This statue is considered to be the tallest statue of ‘Ramlala’ (child form) not only in Goa but in the entire world.
Why is it special?
Often we see such tall statues of Hanuman ji or Lord Shiva, but seeing such a huge statue of the child form of Lord Ram is a unique experience in itself.
