410 Million Covid-19 Vaccine Doses Administered In The Country So Far: Health Ministry

New Delhi: Under the nationwide vaccination campaign against COVID-19 pandemic, 4,17,851,151 vaccine doses have been administered till date, out of which 330,259,212 people have been partially and 87,591,939 people have been fully vaccinated.

At the same time, more than 129,000,000 vaccine doses have been administered in the last month, owing to the free vaccination drive for all age groups, according to the Union Health Ministry.

According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 41,78,51,151 vaccine doses have been given administered in the country until 7 a.m. on July 22, out of which

1- 10,277,386 healthcare workers have been partially vaccinated, while 7,611,600 healthcare workers have been fully vaccinated.

2- 17,824,546 frontline workers have been partially vaccinated while 10,549,835 healthcare workers have been fully vaccinated.

3- In the age group of 18 to 44, 130,553,816 people been partially vaccinated, whereas 5,322,634 people have been fully vaccinated.

4- In the age group of 45 to 59, 98,917,103 people have been partially vaccinated 31,585,098 people have been fully vaccinated.

5- 72,686,361 people above 60 years of age have received the first dose and 32,522,772 people have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

A total of 288,133,315 vaccine doses had been administered in the country until June 20. The Central government had, however, from June 21 started free vaccination for all age groups and in the last one month, 129,717,836 vaccine doses have been administered, which includes both the first and second doses.

Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh have administered more than 10 million dosed of the COVID-19 vaccine in the age group of 18-44 years. On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Jharkhand, Kerala, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Uttarakhand and West Bengal have administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine to more than 1 million people in the age group of 18-44 years.

States currently have 32,001,490 vaccine doses available to administer.

According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, the Central government has supplied 4,37,978,900 vaccine doses to the states and Union Territories so far, out of which 4,05,977,410 vaccine doses have been administered. This also includes medical wastage. The states currently have a stock of 32,001,490 vaccine doses available and 7,00,000 vaccine doses will be supplied soon.

The nationwide vaccination campaign started on January 16 and the vaccination of frontline workers began on February 2. The next phase of COVID-19 vaccination drive began on March 1, under which people above the age of 60 years began to be vaccinated along with the people between the  45 and 59 age group with a serious illness.

Eventually, the vaccination drive for anyone aged 45 and above began on April 1. The vaccination of people in the age group of 18 to 44 years started from May 1. Finally, free vaccination to everyone above the age of 18 years began on June 21.
