60th National Cost Convention, 2022 held at Lko.

The two days 60th National Cost Convention, 2022 of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India began today on 27th May 2022 at BhimRao Ambedkar University, Lucknow being attended by around 1100 delegates from all over India.

The convention was inaugurated by Durga Prasad Mishra,  Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Sanjay Singh, Vice-Chancellor,  Baba Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Lucknow with the lightening of a lamp.

The inauguration speech was delivered by the Chief Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh Sri Yogi Adityanath through Video Message. In his message, the Chief Minister praised the theme statement of the Convention, “Self Reliance through Enlightenment” and did welcome the delegates to Uttar Pradesh. He asked the Cost Management Accountants to become part of the available opportunities in the state and take it forward.

The Special Guest, Durga Prasad Mishra, Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh while welcoming the delegates thanked the Institute for organizing the Convention in Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh.

He called upon the delegates to grab the opportunity in the changing scenario in the state and contribute positively to the growth of the state. He did mention the “Vision-2047” of the Government of India and threw light upon the “One District, One Product” scheme of the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

He asked the delegates to come forward and take the benefit available for the growth of the profession and in turn growth of State and Nation. The theme “Sel Reliance through Enlightenment” was praised by him and he dwelt upon the importance of Self-enlightenment. He was happy to mention that the work Self Reliance was close to the heart of the Prime Minister of India also.

He spoke at length about self-enlightenment and told us to practice ourselves towards the attainment of enlightenment. He mentioned that once the State and Nation become self-reliant we would become suppliers of all necessary items to the rest of the world also.

He was happy to mention that the delegates had the program of visit to Sri Ram Janambhoomi Sthan, Ayodhya Dham also. He told that the State Government was working towards making Ayodhya a city of enlightenment. He also asked delegates to enjoy the food and cloth market of Lucknow.

CMA Icon Awards were given by the Special Guest to four exemplary members of the Institute, namely, Professor Nageshwar Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Indira Gandhi National Open University,  K. Sreekant, Chairman & Managing Director, Power Grid Corporation of India,  S. Krishnan, Managing Director & CEO, Punjab & Sind Bank, and Yogesh Gupta, IPS, Additional Director General of Police, Kerala.

The stage was shared with the Special Guest by Convener of National Cost Convention,  Vijender Sharma, Vice President of Institute,  P. Raju Iyer, President of Institute, Sri Balvinder Singh, Past President of Institute and Sri Shailendra Paliwal, Chairman of Northern India Regional Council of Institute. The convention was attended by professionals from other professions also, such, as Sidheshwar Bhalla, Vice President, Institute of Internal Auditors (India), Mohit Gupta, President of Institute of Internal Auditors (Lucknow club)
