8 new medical colleges and the first medical university will be built in Jharkhand, big blast from Health Minister Irfan Ansari

News India Live, Digital Desk: In the budget session of Jharkhand Assembly, Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari has made several major announcements to transform the health infrastructure of the state. The Minister pointed out that while there were only 9 medical colleges in the state in the last 25 years, the present government has created 8 new medical colleges Going to install.

Construction will take place in two phases:

According to the Health Minister, these colleges will be constructed in two phases:

First Phase: Jamtara, Giridih, Dhanbad (named after Shibu Soren), Khunti and Seraikela-Kharsawan.

Second Phase: Godda, Sahibganj and Latehar.

‘Medical University’ and ‘RIMS-2’ will be built in Ranchi:

First Medical University: of Ranchi Brambe The state’s first medical university will be established, which will promote medical education and research.

RIMS-2 (Itki): Construction of RIMS-2 in Itki, Ranchi will start this year. The minister claims that 1,400 beds (in the first stage) with this Asia’s largest hospital will form.

Other important announcements:

Free Ultrasound: Free ultrasound facility will be available in government hospitals for all pregnant women of the state.

Medico City: A ‘Medico City’ will be built in the state at a cost of ₹3,871 crore, which will have 12 super-speciality hospitals.

Thalassemia Free Jharkhand: The government has set a target of making the state thalassemia free by 2029, for which bone marrow transplant facility will be started.

7,500 appointments: 7,500 ANMs and GNMs will soon be recruited to strengthen health services.
