Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will release the third part of its manifesto tomorrow regarding the Delhi Assembly elections. Earlier, the party has announced many schemes and promises in two phases. The third part will be released by Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah.

Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has made a special appeal on social media regarding Amit Shah. He urged the BJP to present its own independent plan and vision for Delhi, rather than duplicating the plans that are already implemented in Delhi.

Arvind Kejriwal’s statement

Arvind Kejriwal wrote on social media platform X (formerly Twitter):
“Tomorrow Amit Shah ji is launching BJP’s Sankalp Patra III. I request them not to re-announce the schemes of Aam Aadmi Party which are already implemented in Delhi, like free electricity/water. BJP should tell its plan and vision regarding Delhi. Also, explain why you have failed to improve the law and order situation in Delhi and what you will do now to improve it.”

BJP’s resolution letter: announcements so far

BJP has promised many populist schemes and development works in the first two parts of the manifesto. In these, emphasis has been laid on women’s safety, education improvement, and strengthening health services. The party has also promised to provide ownership rights of houses to people living in unauthorized colonies of Delhi.

Allegations and counter-allegations between AAP and BJP

Amidst the election atmosphere in Delhi, the series of allegations and counter-allegations between Aam Aadmi Party and BJP has intensified.

  • AAP’s claim: Arvind Kejriwal alleged that BJP is re-introducing Aam Aadmi Party’s schemes by including them in its promises.
  • BJP’s response: BJP has accused the AAP government of failing in infrastructure and law and order. The party says that new plans are needed to make Delhi a smart city at the national and global level.

Keep an eye on Kejriwal’s questions

Kejriwal has also raised some sharp questions in his post:

  1. BJP’s vision: What is their long term plan for Delhi?
  2. Law and order: Why has the central government failed so far in improving the deteriorating law and order situation in the capital?
  3. New Schemes: Are BJP’s schemes different from the existing schemes?

political analysis

Before the elections, both the parties are sharpening their strategies.

  • AAP government: Trying to maintain the support of the people of Delhi with the help of measures like free electricity, water, and health services.
  • BJP: Trying to take advantage of new promises and Centre’s support for the development of Delhi.

outcome

Sankalp Patra III to be presented by Amit Shah tomorrow will decide how BJP appeals to Delhi voters under its new strategy. At the same time, this appeal of Arvind Kejriwal is a direct attempt to put pressure on BJP, so that the party can clarify its agenda.

Now it has to be seen what new BJP presents regarding its plans and vision and how Aam Aadmi Party reacts to it.
