News India Live, Digital Desk: Traffic Prahari App Launched in Up: An important initiative has been taken to prevent violation of traffic rules in Uttar Pradesh and promote road safety. Prayagraj Traffic Police has launched a new mobile application called Traffic Sentinel, through which citizens themselves can take pictures or videos of those who violate traffic rules and send them to the police. The biggest attraction of this initiative is that a citizen sending the best complaint will be given a cash prize of up to Rs 50,000 every month.
The purpose of this unique app is to directly include citizens in law enforcement. To use the ‘Traffic Sentinel’ app, first of all it has to be downloaded on your smartphone. Next, users will have to register themselves on the app. As soon as a traffic rule is seen to be violated, citizens can immediately take his picture or video. With this photo or video, they have to enter the detailed information on the date, time, place, vehicle number and what kind of violation of the event.
This app mainly covers common violations that lead to road accidents or traffic disrupted. These include acts such as wrong parking, three rides (triple riding), not wearing helmets or seat belts, high speeds, driving in the wrong direction and using mobile phones while driving. The app will clearly mention the categories of these violations in the app.
Traffic police believe that this app will improve traffic rules in the city and reduce the number of road accidents. The active participation of the citizens will improve the traffic system and create an atmosphere of discipline on the roads. This initiative will help people understand their responsibility and create a safe traffic system. On a monthly basis, the ‘traffic sentinel’, which sends the most effective and accurate complaints, will be rewarded to the civil reporter, in which the top complainant can get a reward of up to Rs 50,000. This will encourage citizens to actively contribute to a clean and disciplined traffic system.
